Indoor Select Training provides advanced soccer instruction for Rochester City Soccer League players seeking to elevate their skills. These sessions focus on advanced tactical play, helping players refine their technical abilities while fostering teamwork under the guidance of experienced coaches. This year-round program is designed to push athletes to the next level.
Participation in the Indoor Select Training is based on staff evaluations, offering players a chance to train in a more competitive and challenging environment. Select age groups will also have the opportunity to compete in local tournaments, giving them valuable game experience and exposure to higher-level competition.
Dates: September 14 – October 19, 2025
Structure:
– Practice: One session per week
– Focus: 50% player skills development, 50% free play
– Duration: 6 weeks
Ages and Schedule:
– Ages 4-5: 2:00 – 2:45 PM
– Ages 6-8: 2:00 – 2:50 PM
– Ages 9-13: 3:00 – 3:50 PM

Players will have a team assignment for every season of play, with set practice times and game days each week of the season according to age group. The RCSL is creating a platform for players in our community to benefit from a team environment while enjoying playing The Beautiful Game in our city.
Team practices will be held by age groups, with older age groups learning higher-level concepts of the game and system of play. Coaches are prepared to lead these sessions with the updated educational goals of the RCSL, taking care to enhance player development from the individual level to the whole-team dynamic.
Age groups consist of players as young as U-7, all the way to U-23. Jerseys, shorts, and shin guards are provided for all players. We welcome any level of talent from beginner to advanced to come out to play, meet new friends, and grow with us.
With its equipment and travel requirements, soccer can be expensive. The Rochester City Soccer League is a completely FREE soccer league. Registration is free, so players of all economic backgrounds can experience the benefits of organized soccer.
