Opportunity to Coach in the RCSL 2025 Season

Dear Coaches,

We are excited to announce the details for the 2025 season of the Rochester City Soccer League! This year, the entire league will run out of the Rochester Community Sports Complex Stadium (460 Oak Street). If you’re interested in coaching, please see the schedule and team structure below:

Team Structure: Coaches will be assigned two teams each for U9 and U13, with 3-4 interns supporting each team. Team assignments will include:

  • Blue Team
  • Yellow Team
  • Green Team
  • Red Team

 

Season Schedule:

  • May (Pre-league Practices): Practices will take place on Saturdays and Mondays.
  • June & Beyond (Game Day Schedule):
    • Saturdays:
      • Coed U9 (11:00-11:50 AM)
      • Coed U13 (12:00-12:50 PM)
      • Coed Ages 4-6 (10:00-10:45 AM) – Focus on basic skills development, followed by a short 10-15 minute game at the end of each session.
    • Mondays:
      • Coed U9 (6:00-6:50 PM)
      • Coed U13 (7:00-7:50 PM)
    • Each team will play 6 games and face each other team twice.
    • Interns will assist with setting up and taking down the fields.

Important League Information

Teams

Players will have a team assignment for every season of play, with set practice times and game days each week of the season according to age group. The RCSL is creating a platform for players in our community to benefit from a team environment while enjoying playing The Beautiful Game in our city.

Practices

Team practices will be held by age groups, with older age groups learning higher-level concepts of the game and system of play. Coaches are prepared to lead these sessions with the updated educational goals of the RCSL, taking care to enhance player development from the individual level to the whole-team dynamic.

Age Requirements

Age requirements U4-5 up to U14 and we will grow up to U23. Jerseys, shorts, and shin guards are provided for all players. We welcome any level of talent from beginner to advanced to come out to play, meet new friends, and grow with us.

Affordability

With its equipment and travel requirements, soccer can be expensive. The Rochester City Soccer League offering Affordability low cost $25 dollars with a free scholarship for anyone who needs it, so players of all economic backgrounds can experience the benefits of organized soccer.
