The Summer Outdoor Season is the highlight of the Rochester City Soccer League’s FREE soccer calendar, running from May to July. During these three months, we provide hundreds of children in our community with the skills and resources they need to grow as soccer players. It’s a time when players thrive on the field, developing both their individual talents and team-based skills.

Throughout the outdoor season, participants are introduced to key team-building concepts, including team shape, defensive strategies, transition play, and understanding formations. Most importantly, players learn how to compete as a cohesive unit. The sense of community and camaraderie we foster during our summer practices and games has become a cornerstone of Rochester’s soccer culture. From “Friday Night Lights” at the Rochester Community Sports Complex to the joyful play of our youngest members at Genesee Valley Park, RCSL’s summer season embodies our “Community First” philosophy, making every participant a part of our extended soccer family.
